All-Minneapolis Muslim: Were Lowe’s and Kayak Right to Pull Ads?

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Recently, at the urging of American Christians in Florida, Kayak.com and Lowe’s pulled sponsorship of the show “All-American Muslim.” The Florida Family Association insisted the cable reality show, which follows a number of Muslim Americans though their daily lives, was “attempting to manipulate Americans into ignoring the threat of jihad.”

As a sometime resident of Minneapolis, I find myself on a daily basis in close proximity to many American Muslims. Most Americans may not know this, but the largest city in Minnesota boasts the highest population of Somalis in North America. Almost all of them are Muslim. Dangerous Muslims. Just last month, a Minnesota woman was found guilty of sending money to Somali terror group al-Shabab. The group has even successfully recruited young men from the local community to travel back to Africa.

To test the contentions of the Florida Family Association, I secretly went out into Minneapolis’s Somali community to observe the true nature of the Muslim Americans not protected by the manipulative glossy Hollywood crap of The Learning Channel. (more…)

Again from the Library of Congress’ immacuate collection:

Emperor Nicholas II shovelling [sic] snow in the park at Tsarskoe Selo, Russia, where he and the royal family were interned, 1917 .

See, even the fu**ing Emperor had to shovel snow.

Pawlenty Family Wish You a Merry Christmas. Freedom First PAC Pays for the Wish

pawlenty-photoshopped-christmascard.jpg

Uh Oh. Somebody at the Tim Pawlenty campaign is going to be getting a lump of coal for Christmas. The link to “Support Tim Pawlenty’s Freedom First PAC” in the Presidential hopeful’s Christmas card/fund-raising email, is broke. The code behind the link is “http:// support tim pawlenty’s freedom first pac         paid for by freedom first pac. not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.  www.timpawlenty.com  /” Whoopsie! Good thing the Donate Now button below it works.

This brings us to the second question: Is Mary Photoshopped in this Christmas photo? Because it really looks like Mary is Photoshopped in this photo. (Did Pawlenty go “to the cloud?“)

Finally, please note that while the fine print at the bottom of the card may be mistaken as the spirit of Christmas, it is actually a disclaimer about how the Freedom First PAC paid for the Pawlenty family’s Christmas card. And what says protecting the spirit of the holiday from the War on Christmas more than “$5,000 maximum contribution per calendar year is not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes?”

“Uff Da”: Tim Pawlenty Welcomes Obama to Minnesota with “Minnesota Nice” Comedy Routine

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Tim T-Paw Pawlenty, outgoing governor of Minnesota and GOP Presidential hopeful, found an old local news report background in a dumpster and decided to record a message for Obama’s visit to the People’s Republic of University of Minnesota. I cannot decide what my favorite part is, where the governor criticizes Obama for spending money, including the $2 billion in stimulus Minnesota gladly accepted or the “Minnesota Nice” passive aggression at the end.  What’s yours?!

Ladies and gentlemen, Tim will be here all week. Try the veal and remember to tip your waitresses.

Tom Pawlenty PAC Hosts ‘Republican Idol’

Friday, October 8th, 2010

“Being a characteristically tight Minnesotan, outgoing Governor Tim Pawlenty’s Freedom First PAC doesn’t just spend its money all over town.  Oh No.  It wants some value for its bum dollar.

If you are a struggling Republican candidate dreaming about Pawlenty’s gravy pipe of corporate dough — Atria, Qwest, AT&T, Comcast, BNSF, Boeing, even Target! — the governor wants you to motivate your followers into going to the Freedom First website to vote.”
